This is such a cute place - adorable decorations and the food and drinks were amazing! I was in town for work - sat at the bar and had great service! If I'm ever back in town I will be back!

My first visit! I came with a group of friends and we made a reservation. The lot for parking is small and there's a high likelihood you will need to park on the streets. The restaurant is bright and lively. A mariachi band was traveling tables when we walked in. We were walked to a second room with comfy tables and booths. Friendly service and fairly fast with appetizers and entrees. The guacamole was phenomenal. Loved the mix of plantains with tortilla chips. The salsa trio was okay but I wouldn't order it again. For my dinner I chose the al pastor tacos. Lovely presentation. The pork came out on a skewer with a board of toppings. It included fresh pineapple and a smoked pineapple sauce. Yum!!! I highly recommend it. This spot is on the pricey side so while I will be back, I won't be a frequent visitor.

Guacamole is the perfect addition to NULU. I came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. I highly recommend booking a reservation. We were seated by the bar and it felt like I was at a tropical destination. Everything was bright and colorful which added a fresh look because everything now a days is white and grey. Our waitress was very attentive and answered every question we had. We never had to wait long to get get attention if we needed anything. The food was the star of the show. I started with a prickly pear margarita and it was amazing. The table split an order of the queso which comes with plantain chips and blue tortilla chips. Honestly more restaurants need to serve blue tortilla chips. I had the Caesar salad which was different from a typic Caesar salad. It came with corn, plantain chips, cheese and avocado Caesar dressing. I ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. Guacamole is fantastic and I can't wait to stop by again

We arrived late on a Friday after a flight and got seated right away in their swing chairs. We ordered two cocktails, which were both delicious. When we got seated, a mariachi band came around a started playing. They even played baby shark for the table next to us with children. We ordered the queso dip, carnitas, and the mole trio. The queso needed spice to give it a kick, which our waiter brought over promptly. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. The carnitas were nicely charred on the outside. It was also a huge portion, so we took a lot home for breakfast. Nice atmosphere, delicious food, a great night out. What more could you want.

I enjoyed Guacamole when it was in the East end, but was even more excited to see its beautiful new space in Nulu. This place is not your copy and paste Mexican restaurant, which I appreciate. It feels like a unique dining experience, and everything from the food to the atmosphere was fantastic. Not to mention top notch service! I was so happy to see prickly pear margaritas on their menu... It was soo fruity and refreshing! We also ordered some queso dip, which came with tortilla and delicious plantain chips to go with it. I got the chicken tinga tacos, which were crafted so well and tasted amazing. I'd highly recommend booking this place on OpenTable, as they stay busy. But this place is a must!!

Ambiance | 10/10 * extremely instagramable restaurant filled with many photo ops, vibrant colors and textures throughout the restaurant * great music that'll keep you moving in your seat * spacious and full of seating on multiple floors and outdoors (just wish there were umbrellas or a retractable shade for the sunny and hot days ) * reminded me of being in Cancun or Cabo, the only thing missing was the sound of waves crashing against the beach. Service | 8/10 really good service. On Cinco de Mayo it started to get really busy around 12:30pm and the quality of service was a nice balance between giving us enough time to order/eat and enjoy the place and checking in on us. Although it seemed like a long time before we got our food and they forgot to bring chicharrones out that we ordered. Nevertheless, the order was removed from our bill and our server was extremely apologetic. Food | 8.5/10 * muy delicioso! The tres guacamole appetizer was fresh and tasty. With the name guacamole- you better at least get this right. They all tasted similar but had different additions on top- from seeds, corn, and pickled red onions. * the prickly pear margarita was sweet, but not too sweet and refreshing. With it being such a hot day, the frozen margarita was enjoyable and even as it melted it didn't get watered down. * by the time my birria tacos came, I was full but I mustered up the courage to eat 1.5/3 tacos. My only qualm is that while the taco shell was crispy, it became soggy from the meat inside making it difficult to grab and eat. The guajillo or consomé broth was flavorful. The meat was sort of fatty and personally I like my birria without all of the cheese so I removed it, but I would order again.

May be one of my favorite trendy taco spots ever! The vibe is adorable from before you walk in to the hanging egg chairs to the funky wallpaper and neon signs! The presentation of food and and the quality were also top-notch. You can tell they put a lot of creativity into how to display and to add different unique elements to their dishes (plantain chips mixed in with regular chips). I was very impressed. They also had a fun drink menu, I opted for a watermelon Margarita. We ordered the guacamole, because if your restaurant is called guacamole, it must be good. We ordered different variations of tacos. I specifically got the Suadero Tacos and the brisket was so juicy and flavorful. I'm in awe of the design, thoughtfulness, menu curation... everything. Definitely worth checking out!

Stopped here just to see what it was about. We had already eaten so we stopped here just to check it out. We were cordially welcomed and directed to the bar. Everyone we met were friendly and smiling. We sat at the bar and ordered Negra Modelo and a Corona. We later each had a Negra Modelo which has recently become a beer I really like; smooth and soothing. This location is very decorated and has a lively atmosphere with patrons seemingly having a good time with drinks and food. The lighting is just right to make you feel as ease and not too striking to be an announce. Checked out the menu and it maybe not an authentic Mexican restuarant it had many items that seem right from across the boarder of Mexico. We will definitely come here next time in the area. Nice cold beer glasses as well!

Whitaker: They seated us near the kitchen, which we liked. Got corn- delicious! Got ice cream and it was also delicious! Great place to go. Malissia: We celebrated my mom's birthday here with our family, a group of 12. We had a lovely time! Everything we tasted was delicious and it is an amazing atmosphere to celebrate an occasion. Some comments from the rest of our party: "The staff was friendly, patient, and very attentive. The food is incredible and it is a very festive atmosphere." "Loved the environment! Service was exceptional with our large group. The food was as excellent, if not even better, than the previous location!" "Great! Large portions, good service." The grownup service was not rushed, and the kids meals came out first. This is normally appreciated by kids but Whitaker would like it known by Yelp!
